The Auto Expo 2016 revealed a huge list of cars that are going to be launched in India this year. Along with some all-new models we will also be seeing a number of facelifts and model updates from number of carmakers. While Mahindra kicked-off the launch cycle with the Imperio and KUV100 in January, a lot of other carmakers are trying to bring out their product before the financial year end next month. On that note, here is the list of cars that will be launched in India in March 2016.

1) Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza

Maruti Suzuki India first unveiled the Vitara Brezza at the Auto Expo 2016. The new sub-4 metre SUV from the Indo-Japanese carmaker is based on the bigger, Suzuki Vitara that retails in a number of global markets. Though nearly the same size as the Ford EcoSport, the Vitara Brezza is more beefy, aggressive, and bettering looking SUV compared to the EcoSport. The SUV comes with a number of style additions like projector headlamps, dual tone body colour and other customisation options that gives it a more premium feel. The car will be available only with the 1.3-litre diesel engine that produces a maximum of 88.5bhp and a peak toque of 200 Nm that comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Expected Price: 6 Lakh to 9 Lakh

2) Renault Duster Facelift

The Duster has been the greatest contributor to Renault’s sales in the Indian car market. The Renault Duster practically created the trend of compact SUVs in India. Now the French carmaker is all set to launch the first major facelift of the Duster next month. The Duster facelift is based on the latest Brazilian-spec version and was first showcased in India at the Auto Expo 2016. The biggest addition to the Renault Duster facelift is its all-new AMT gearbox, which is one of the most awaited features we were hoping to see in the SUV. Along with that the Duster facelift comes with over 30 new features that have truly enhanced the style and premiumness of the SUV.
Expected Price: 10 Lakh to 15 Lakh

Expected Launch: Mid-March

Competition: Hyundai Creta, Nissan Terrano and Honda BR-V

Honda Amaze Facelift

The Honda Amaze has been one of the initial players in the compact sedan segment. At the time of its launch the car was the most powerful sub-4-metre sedan in India. But it has been quite a few years since its launch and the Japanese carmaker is all set to launch the new facelift of the car in March. The Honda Amaze facelift comes with some striking design updates and new exterior style cues along with few new features. Mechanically the new Honda Amaze remains unchanged but it is said that the engine have been tuned to offer better fuel efficiency.

Expected Price: 5.5 Lakh to 9.5 Lakh

Expected Launch: March 3

MINI Cooper S

Mini Cooper S Convertible Front

Earlier this year BMW-owned British carmaker MINI revealed that it will be bringing two new cars to the Indian market – the MINI Cooper S Convertible and the Clubman. The MINI Cooper convertible is the three-door open top version of the popular Cooper S and will be launched in India sometime next month. The new MINI Cooper S comes with the same design and style cues and sports a new soft-top roof. Under the hood it pack the same 4-cylinder MINI Twin Power Turbo engine that churns out a maximum of 190bhp while developing a peak torque of 280 Nm that does duty on the standard Cooper S. The engine comes mated to a six-speed automatic transmission Steptronic.

Expected Price: 40 Lakh to 50 Lakh
