Next iPhone to Use Intel's Modem Chips: Report
Apple Inc’s next iPhone will use modems chips from Intel Corp, replacing the ones made by Qualcomm Inc in a few variations of the new telephone, Bloomberg reported, mentioning people acquainted with the matter.

Intel’s modem chips may be in iPhones used on AT&T Inc’s US community and some other versions of the smartphone for foreign places markets, Bloomberg stated on Friday.

but, iPhones offered in China will use Qualcomm chips, and iPhones on Verizon Communications Inc’s community may even stick with Qualcomm, Bloomberg introduced.

Qualcomm’s shares fell 1.7 percent on Friday, while Intel’s inventory become up 0.3 percent. Apple stocks were down zero.five percent in morning trading.

On an earnings name in April, Qualcomm chief govt Officer Steve Mollenkopf stated he became assuming that a first-rate consumer would transfer to multiple suppliers.

An Intel spokeswoman declined to touch upon the story. Qualcomm and Apple were now not right now to be had for remark.
