The BMW G310 R made its Indian debut at the 2016 Auto Expo, earlier this month. One of the most talked about motorcycles of 2015, the BMW G310 R marks BMW Motorrad’s foray into the rapidly growing entry-level roadster segment. While TVS will also have its own version of this motorcycle, the BMW G310 R will be launched in India during the festive season. Check out the detailed photo gallery of the BMW G310 R –

Despite being the entry-level model, the BMW G310 R gets a high level of detailing and top notch quality components.

The raked headlamp, fuel tank extensions, exposed frame and the shrouds give the BMW G310 R the quintessentially aggressive look of a streetfighter.

The raised straight bars and the slightly rear set footpegs offer the perfect balance of comfort and a sporty riding position.

The instrumentation is made of a fully digital LCD display, which integrates a speedometer, tachometer, odometer and other functionalities.

At the heart of the BMW G310 R is a newly developed 311cc single-cylinder engine, which churns out 34bhp and 28Nm of torque.

The engine gets a unique architecture, where the cylinder head is turned backwards by 180 degrees so the intake track is in the front.

The brake setup is made of a 300mm disc in the front and a 240mm disc at the rear, manufactured by Bybre.

The G310 R rides on 17-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, which are shod in Michelin radials. ABS is offered as a standard fitment.

The G310 R gets sophisticated 41mm USD forks in the front, and a preload adjustable monoshock linked to an aluminium swingarm in the rear.

Despite its tall stance, the seat height has been kept low at 785mm, to make the G310 R accessible to riders of low height too.

Globally, BMW offers a host of optional accessories with the G310 R, including a different seat, luggage panniers and heated grips.
