Asus on Thursday unveiled the ZenFone 3 Laser and ZenFone 3 Max smartphones at an event in Vietnam. The Asus ZenFone 3 Laser has been priced at VND 5,990,000 (approximately Rs. 18,000) while the Asus ZenFone 3 Max comes at VND 4,490,000 (approximately Rs. 13,500). Both the smartphones will be available to purchase in Vietnam soon.
The Taiwanese handset maker has not revealed availability details of the new ZenFone smartphones outside Vietnam. Both the ZenFone 3 Laser and ZenFone 3 Max smartphones sport metal builds and run Zen UI based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The ZenFone 3 Laser looks like an upgraded version of the ZenFone 3, and basically features improved camera features such as second-generation laser autofocus which is claimed to focus in 0.03 seconds. It sports a 13-mgapixel ‘PixelMaster’ camera with Sony IMX214 sensor with EIS (electronic image stabilisation)
Other specifications of the ZenFone 3 Laser include a 5.5-inch full-HD display with 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by an octa-core processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. There is 32GB of inbuilt storage and smartphone sports fingerprint scanner. It comes with 7.9mm thickness.
The Asus ZenFone 3 Max features 5.2-inch IPS LCD full-HD display and comes with 32GB of storage. The smartphone packs 3GB of RAM and also sports a fingerprint scanner which is said to unlock the handset in 0.2 seconds. Unfortunately, no detail about the chipset was revealed by the company. The biggest highlight of the ZenFone 3 Max is its 4100mAh battery which comes with power bank mode for reverse charging. Both the smartphones will be available in Titanium Grey, Glacier Silver, and Sand Gold colours. The launch of the ZenFone 3 Laser and ZenFone 3 Max in Vietnam was reported by Techrum.
