Just a day after the launch of the Redmi 3S smartphone in India, its successor the Redmi 4 has purportedly been leaked in images. The leak exposes the smartphone from all angles, leaving little left in the unknown.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4 is sent to sport a circular shaped camera lens at the back with the flash sitting right beside it, and the fingerprint scanner underneath. Playfuldroid has leaked a silver colour variant sporting a full metal body with round edges. The smartphone comes with capacitive buttons at the front, and the bottom houses a Micro-USB port with speaker grilles on both sides. The volume and the power buttons are housed on the right edge of the device.
The images also tip that the Redmi 4 will sport a MediaTek Helio X20 processor with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage. The smartphone will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based MIUI 8 out-of-the-box. It’s too early for price speculations to start doing the rounds, but more leaks should surface as the launch date nears. The Redmi 4 is expected to be unveiled sometime in mid-September this year.
As for the Indian market, the Redmi 3S got launched for Rs. 6,999, alongside the Redmi 3S Prime for Rs. 8,999. Gadgets 360 has learnt that these are the first Xiaomi phones whose entire stock will be ‘Made in India’. The Redmi 3S offers 16GB storage and 2GB of RAM, while the Redmi 3S Prime offers 32GB of storage, 3GB RAM, and sports a fingerprint scanner as well. Both models will be initially available exclusively via Mi.com initially, and then Flipkart. The Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime will go on sale first starting August 9. Xiaomi says the Redmi 3S model will go on sale a week later.
