Later this month, Barneys New York will open its new flagship in Chelsea, on the very same block where the department store opened its doors to its first customers back in 1923. So it’s only right to celebrate the milestone with a campaign dedicated to New York City. Titled “Our Town,” the spring 2016 images were photographed by Bruce Weber and star famous New Yorkers like Lady Gaga — sporting a shaggy platinum blonde bob, minimal makeup and denim, the most low-key we’ve seen her look maybe ever — along with Yoko Ono, Helmut Lang, Patti Smith, Cyndi Lauper, the Angulo brothers of “The Wolfpack” documentary and Bobby Cannavale along with his son, Jake.

“As I now took photographs and films of my beloved city, I could still feel its embrace and a tear ran down my cheek for a love once lost and again found,” said Weber in the press release. The legendary photographer took his subjects on tours throughout the city, stopping and shooting at Katz’s Deli, The Carlyle hotel and Central Park. The campaign also stars more local icons, from nightlife staple Ladyfag and city-renowned club kids to the New York Fire Department’s first female battalion chief Rocky Jones and Terry McGhee, an NYPD detective of the New York Terrorism Task Force.
