Lava’s new V2s smartphone has gone on sale via third-party online retailers in India. Priced at Rs. 7,899, the Lava V2s is yet to be officially revealed by the domestic handset maker.
The Lava V2s sports an 8-megapixel front camera with LED flash which is a highlight of the smartphone at this price point. The smartphone also packs an 8-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash. Another notable feature of the Lava V2s is its 4G connectivity and support for Indian LTE bands.
At this price point, the Lava V2s will compete against the Intex Aqua Glam, priced at Rs. 7,690, which also sports an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
Running Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box, the Lava V2s is said to be upgradable to Android v6.0 Marshmallow. It features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display offering a pixel density of 294ppi. The dual-SIM device is powered by a 1GHz quad-core processor clubbed with 2GB of RAM. It comes with 8GB of built-in storage which is expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). The handset is backed by a 2500mAh battery. It measures 141.6×70.8x8mm and weighs 129 grams.
At the time of writing, the Lava V2s was not listed on the company’s site. Currently, the handset is listed in just Icy White colour and is now available to buy via Amazon India.
Two new Lava budget smartphones were recently spotted listed on the company’s site – the Flair S1 and A52.
Both the Lava Flair S1 and Lava A52 smartphones were listed with pricing details – Rs. 4,349 and Rs. 3,599 respectively. Out of the two, the Lava Flair S1 was available via several third-party online retailers at a market operating price of Rs. 3,799.
