Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami launched Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable Corporation Ltd’s mobile app that will enable subscribers to pay their monthly cable TV subscription.
Subscribers can download the app, TACTV, which will be available for Android phones on the Google Play store, and pay their monthly bill of Rs. 70 through it.
Of this, TACTV will receive 20 towards its account and pay the remaining ₹50 to the respective cable operator.
Aadhaar verification
Once a subscriber downloads the app, they will have to register their details on the app, and if they have an Aadhaar card, can scan the QR code on the card to the app.
For those without Aadhaar, a one time password will be sent to the registered mobile number for verification, an official release said. The payment can be made on the app between the 1st and 10th of every month.
