After the Intex Aqua E4 E4, the Indian smartphone company has launched yet another device in the Aqua series, expanding its portfolio. The Intex Aqua Classic 2 is priced at Rs. 4,600, and is available for purchase across major retail outlets in India.
The successor of the Intex Aqua Classic has a sleek design with rounded edges, and is available only in Champagne colour variant. The volume and power buttons are housed on the right edge of the smartphone, while the speakers are situated at the back. The dimensions of the Intex Aqua Classic 2 measure at 145.2×72.6×10.9mm.
Just to recap, the predecessor was launched in June this year with a price tag of Rs. 4,444. The only difference between the two smartphones is the introduction of 4G LTE support, a slightly better front camera and battery, and the fact that it runs on Marshmallow out-of-the-box.
The Intex Aqua Classic 2 features a 5-inch FWVGA (480×854 pixels) display with 196ppi pixel density. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. The smartphone offers 8GB of internal storage with the option to expand further via a microSD slot (up to 32GB). Consumer usable storage is at 5GB.
As for the optics, the Intex Aqua Classic 2 sports an 5-megapixel rear camera with auto-focus and dual-LED flash. At the front, there is a 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video chats. It packs a 2200mAh battery that claims to last for up to 6 hours of talktime and up to 200 hours of standby time. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, A-GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, and Micro-USB. There’s no VoLTE support in the Intex Aqua Classic 2, as per the manufacturer page. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and sports dual-SIM slots (both Micro-SIM).
