Android 8.0 Oreo, the latest publicly available mobile operating system by Google, is now running on 0.2 percent of active devices. Google has updated its Google Play distribution data, providing figures for the seven-day period ending Monday, October 2, 2017. As expected, the Android Nougat-based devices logging into the store are slowly rising.

The data shows Android Nougat (Android 7.0 and Android 7.1) now running on 17.8 percent of active devices, a rise of 2 percent from September numbers. The latest distribution numbers also see Android Oreo making its first appearance in over a month of being rolled out. Google doesn’t show any version with less than 0.1 percent distribution in the chart.

Sharing the latest distribution data of different versions of Android, Google reported that Marshmallow has a total share of 32 percent of Android devices that check into Google Play, which is a fall of just 0.2 percent from the last month’s number that stood at 32.2 percent.
